Celebrating The Newest Graphic Wrap Project
During these unprecedented times, it can be very worrying about whether one would be able to get the things that they need to help market their business. Through all of this uncertainty, we are very excited to announce the recent project that we finished.
We had worked on a container wrap for a local restaurant in Sugarland, Texas called Creole Flava. They are a Texas-based catering company ran by Sheila Mckenzie, serving up home-style Cajun Creole soul food.
What We Did
We sat down with Ms. Sheila to discuss what she wanted to be done for the container wrap and how to place the logo and other designs that she had already given to us. The ALTIUS Production team had then gone on to take photos of the food truck and measured the dimensions in order to make sure we printed the materials correctly.
Our design team then created a prototype using the images of the food truck that had been taken, creating a mockup of what the finished product would look like. After a few different discussions on placement and design, our team had got the partial graphic wrap finalized and ready to print!
The Production Process
With consideration to our customer’s budget, we selected two types of vinyl materials from separate manufacturers and then presented those quotes to Ms. Sheila. The final choice was the HP vinyl and its compatible UV-protected overlaminate. This printing was done on an HP Latex printer, using environmentally friendly Latex ink.
We then started our vinyl cut contouring, which was made using the HP Cutter and Flexi software. The vinyl weeding and transfer tape were done in-house by our production team, while the application of the vinyl wrap was done on-site at our customer’s location.
The Installation Process
We followed the industry standard for installation by prepping the truck’s surface using 70% isopropyl alcohol rub. We then manually squeezed the vinyl application onto the container. We performed our post-installation check by making sure there were no air bubbles underneath the vinyl and removed bubbles that were present with a pressured squeeze method. The installation took 1 day to complete.
The Results
After getting the food truck wrap inspected by our quality assurance team, we made sure that Ms. Sheila approved it, and she did! In her Google review for ALTIUS Graphics, she stated:
“I would just like to say that Sid, which is the owner of Altius Graphics, was the best of the best. He really treated me very well. He also took great care in creating my image for my food Trailer.”
